SMS Terms & Opt-Out Policy

We only text customers who have explicitly opted in.
  • On every signup, quote, and booking form we present an unchecked consent checkbox next to the phone number field. You must actively tick it to receive SMS from ServeToro or the service provider using ServeToro. Consent is never assumed.
  • Verbal opt-in is also supported: when you book a service by phone, the intake rep explicitly asks “Is it okay if we text you appointment confirmations and technician ETAs? You can reply STOP at any time.” We only enroll after a clear “yes.”
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send.
  • To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START or YES to +1 (227) 368-0831, or re-tick the checkbox on any signup form.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for each message sent or received.
  • Message frequency: typically up to 6 messages per service appointment.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.

1. Program description

ServeToro sends text messages on behalf of the service businesses that use our platform. Messages relate directly to services those businesses provide to you, and typically include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • “On my way” notifications with estimated arrival time from your service provider
  • Quote and invoice notifications
  • Payment receipts and reminders
  • Two-way conversation replies from the business you've engaged

You will only receive messages related to service you have requested or an existing service relationship. We do not send promotional or marketing texts on behalf of unrelated third parties.

2. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for each SMS message you send or receive. Check with your carrier for details of your plan.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your service activity. On an active job you may receive 1–10 messages per week. During inactive periods you may receive no messages at all.

4. Opt-in: explicit consent required (checkbox or verbal “yes”)

We never opt you in automatically. Every signup, quote, and booking form on ServeToro that captures your mobile number includes an unchecked consent checkbox — you must actively tick it before we enroll your number for SMS. When booking verbally, the intake rep asks you directly and only enrolls after a clear “yes.”

If you have previously opted out (by replying STOP) and want to re-subscribe, you can opt back in at any time using any of the methods below:

  • Texting a keyword such as YES, START, SUBSCRIBE, BEGIN, or UNSTOP to +1 (227) 368-0831.
  • Re-ticking the SMS consent checkbox on any signup, quote, or booking form.
  • Verbally telling a service pro, who will re-enable messaging on your customer profile.
  • Replying YES to any confirmation message we send.

After you opt in (or re-opt in), you will receive a one-time confirmation reply describing the program name, message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You must be the account holder of the mobile number or have the account holder's permission to opt in.

5. Opt-out: how to stop receiving messages

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to +1 (227) 368-0831 (or reply STOP to any message you have received).

After you send the message STOP, we will send you a one-time reply confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from ServeToro for the service provider you had opted in with. You may also use UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT as alternate opt-out keywords.

6. HELP: getting help

Need help with our SMS program? You have three ways to reach us:

  • Reply HELP to any message you've received from us. We'll send back a summary of how the program works, opt-in / opt-out instructions, and a link back to this page.

7. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may be affected by network availability, cellular signal, or carrier system issues outside our control.

Supported carriers include (but are not limited to): AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint (T-Mobile), Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and most other US carriers.

8. Privacy — mobile information is never shared for marketing

Mobile information collected as part of SMS opt-in — including phone numbers, opt-in status, and opt-in source — is NEVER shared with or sold to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about how your mobile number is used, email us at contact@servetoro.com.

9. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to opt in to receive text messages, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You must own the mobile device on which you receive messages or have the account holder's permission.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update this SMS Terms & Opt-Out Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the Effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued participation in the messaging program after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
