Is the 14-day trial really free?
Yes — completely. No credit card is required and nothing is ever auto-charged. You get full Enterprise-tier access for 14 days. On day 15, if you haven't picked a plan, your account becomes read-only (you can still log in, view, and export all your data) until you choose a plan. One trial per company.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from Settings → Billing. Before you downgrade we show you exactly which features you'll lose and the exact date they lock. Downgraded features stay usable for a full 60-day grace period, with reminders 30, 7, and 1 day before the lock date.
What happens to features I was using if I downgrade?
You keep them for 60 days. Every feature that isn't in your new plan stays fully usable through a 60-day grace period with a visible countdown, and we remind you at 30 / 7 / 1 days before they lock. Your data is never deleted — re-upgrading restores everything instantly.
How do user seats work?
One simple rule on every plan: every active user counts — owner, office staff, and technicians alike. Starter includes 5 users, Professional 8, and Enterprise 17. Need more? Add users on any plan for a flat $15/user/month. Deactivated or archived users never count against your limit.
Does the AI Assistant cost extra?
No — AI Assistant chat, SMS drafting, quote drafting, and voice input are included in Professional and Enterprise at no extra cost. Fair-use limits apply (3,000 AI messages / month on Professional; unlimited on Enterprise).
Is SMS metered separately?
No separate texting account or carrier setup is needed — two-way SMS is built into ServeToro and centrally managed. Every plan includes a monthly text allowance (Starter 500, Professional 2,500, Enterprise unlimited) with no per-message markup.
Do you support payroll for real?
Yes — the Enterprise plan generates paystubs directly from your timesheets, handles multiple pay rates, and exports year-end W-2 / 1099-ready CSVs. Gusto sync is on the roadmap for teams that want to run payroll on top.
Is my data mine?
Yes. Export all your data from the Import/Export center at any time for free. Enterprise gets one-click GDPR-ready ZIP exports.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period; no refunds for partial months.
